Label Printer Support

Address Labels now supports some dedicated label printers such as the Brother QL range and the Dymo LabelWriters.

Changing the Label Type

To change the label type, go first to the label preview screen.

The current label type is shown below the preview. To change the label type, and other settings such as font, click the settings cog on the top left of the preview.

Firstly, make sure the Label Roll radio button is on.

Then, select the manufacturer of the labels. Currently only Brother and Dymo labels are supported.

Then select whether the label is a roll of labels, or a continuous roll. Currently, only Brother continuous rolls are supported.

Then change the label type by expanding the labels type dropdown, and selecting the appropriate label type.

For label rolls, that is all you have to do, although you can also change the orientation from landscape to portrait, if desired.

For continuous rolls, you should next select the length for the labels, by selecting from the length dropdown.

At the time of writing, the main testing has been performed on a mac running 11.2.1 and using a Brother QL-820NWB and Dymo 450.

The app has also been tested using these printers and on a mac running 10.12.6.
